St Leu d' Esserent est un complexe de carrière près de la ville du même nom dans la vallée de l' Oise, 43 kilomètres au nord de Paris. Originellement créées pour l' exploitation du calcaire, ces carrière avaient été aménagées pendant 4 ans par les Allemands pour devenir leurs plus importantes installations d' assemblage et de stockage de V1. Le plafond, principalement fait de pierres, avait 8 mètres d'épaisseur, le magasin souterrain avait trois entrées et était particulièrement bien situé près de la ligne de chemin de fer.
St Leu d' Esserent is a complex of career close to the city of the same name in the valley of Oise, 43 kilometers in the north of Paris. Originally created for the exploitation of limestone, these career had been arranged during 4 years by the Germans to become their more important installations of assembly and storage of V1. The ceiling, mainly made stones, was 8 meters thickness, the underground store had three entries and was particularly well located close to the railway line.

Le 207ème escadron contribuât à hauteur de 15 avions qui décollèrent de Spilsby juste avant minuit. Le bombardement fut précis mais 13 avions, dont 2 du 207ème escadron, furent perdus quand ils furent interceptés par des avions de chasse allemand.
The second raid was carried out during the night of July 4, 1944 when an attack was launched with 246 planes, mainly of Lancaster of Group 5 and the pathfinders of Group 6. The 207ème squadron contributed to height of 15 planes which took off of Spilsby right before midnight.The bombardment was precise but 13 planes, including 2 of the 207ème squadron, were lost when they were intercepted by fighter plans German.
